PRIME Board Updates: Honoring Leadership & Welcoming New Voices
PRIME Productions’ board is more than governance—it’s a circle of advocates helping build a thriving artistic home for performers over 50 in the Twin Cities. This year we’ve had some changes to the board: one longstanding board member rolled off the board and two new leaders joined.
In accordance with our bylaws, Susanne Elgi cycled off the Board, but will continue as Chair of our Fundraising Committee. Susanne’s leadership has helped strengthen our donor relationships and expand our capacity to support bold storytelling. We are grateful that her vision will remain an active force in our fundraising work.
Welcoming New Board Leadership
We are excited to officially welcome two new leaders to the PRIME Board:
Kelsey Pogue, CPA – Treasurer
Kelsey joined the board last year and immediately stepped into the role of Treasurer. A tax associate at Myslajek, Kemp & Spencer in St. Louis Park, she brings a strong background in tax preparation and bookkeeping. Her financial expertise—paired with a BA in Public Accounting from Gustavus Adolphus College—helps ensure PRIME’s fiscal health and strategic budgeting alongside our Co-Artistic Directors.
Aaron C. Young, JD, LLM – Vice Chair
Aaron joins the board as Vice Chair, bringing extensive legal knowledge and a record of leadership across arts, business, and nonprofit sectors. He is the founder of Young Entertainment Law, representing clients that include the Twin Cities Film Fest, award-winning filmmakers, authors, musicians, visual artists, and professional sports leaders. Aaron also serves as an adjunct professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law and has taught at William Mitchell College of Law and McNally Smith College of Music. His board and advisory work spans organizations such as Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, Springboard for the Arts’ Legal Advisory Committee, the Coalition of Recovery Investment, FilmNorth (past president), and Pet Haven, where he currently serves as president.
You Don’t Have to Be on the Board to Make an Impact
Susanne’s continued committee leadership is a reminder that you don’t need to be a board member to be part of PRIME’s leadership. Our committees—Fundraising, Marketing, and Volunteer Engagement—are powered by talented people, both men and women, who serve as advisors, connectors, and champions for PRIME’s work. If you would like to contribute your expertise, we would love to hear from you.
